A Spahi’s Love Story

Pierre Loti [pseudonym of Julien Viaud (1850-1923)]. Paris: Charles Carrington, 1907. 330pp. A tipped in colored plate as frontis by Robert Dean + 1 headpiece and 1 tailpiece etching + 4 full-page etchings by Gastton Trilleau. No printer colophon seen. Limited edition of 1000 copies. The limitation indicates this is a reprint of Carrington's Paris edition. My copy is No. 851.

Carrington issued a London edition, printed by W. Brendon & Son in Plmouth, England. I've included the title page and frontis from a scan on Archive.org. The drawings all have areas that seem blurry. I don't know if that is original or if it's from a scanning issue.

There is also an edition (unique?) which conforms to mine, including the boards, except the head-piece for the forward is in color.
